Linh Le tells the story of Ca Tru, a unique form of traditional music of Vietnam. In 2009, Ca Tru was officially recognized by UNESCO as a world intangible cultural heritage form in urgent need of preservation. Although it has appeared in much of recent Vietnamese pop culture, including movies and contemporary folk songs, Ca Tru has become less commonly practiced among young generations and is at risk of disappearing.

This audio documentary looks at the importance of this form of music and the efforts being made to preserve this cultural form.
