For more than 60,000 years, Indigenous Australians have been looking to the stars.

In these galaxies, they see their traditions, their stories and roadmaps for hunting and exploring the land.

Now a new wave of younger Indigenous Australians are sharing their passion for the stars and their pride in their heritage.

Sam Edwards speaks with Wiradjuri woman Kirsten Banks, who is completing her PhD in astrophysics at UNSW and just finished a five-year tenure at Sydney Observatory.
