Interview: Why are people reluctant to seek therapy?

About 45 per cent of Australians will experience a mental illness, and in 2014, 54 per cent of those suffering were not receiving treatment, statistics from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare show.

This was due to factors such as cost, time, location, believing it wasn’t necessary, and some of the stigmas that come with having a mental illness.

Phoebe Zukowski-Wallace speaks with Mahlia Price, CEO of Life Supports, an organisation that specialises in pairing people with the right therapist for their needs.
